RHS intentions are to make our setting accessible to all children and families from all sections of the local community, through an open, fair and clearly communicated procedure. Children from 3 months to rising 5s may join the nursery at any time throughout the year if there is vacancy in the age group requested Prospective parents are invited to view the nursery before registering their child. However, when a place is not available the child’s name is put on the waiting list. Places are allocated on first come basis within the local and wider community. Consideration will be given to families where a sibling already attending the setting. .
Following your visit if you decide that Ruskin House Nursery is the right nursery for your child we will arrange some settling in sessions. These are offered to ensure that your child can meet the staff and familiarise themselves with their environments before they start for the whole day. We recommend that the parents leave the child for these short settling in sessions after the questionnaire and discussion with the key person,ready for their start date (please note there is no charge for these sessions).
Whilst arranging the settling in sessions we ask for a deposit of the sessions you are doing in order to secure your place, this is refundable once your child leaves nursery. You are also given a registration form along with terms and conditions which is for you to complete and return once your child starts their settling in sessions.
